You do not need to be able to draw!

Module 1: Introduction

Module 2: Techniques

• Play with alternative wires: short/tall, thick/thin, round, twisted
  
• Create enamel edges
• Apply enamel into cloisonne´ cells
• Silver and Gold foil applications
• Create lines, shapes, and patterns with a diamond burr
• Color "outside of the lines"

Module 3: Lines and Shapes

• Discover lines and shapes in your world
• Begin with the simple shapes: squares, circles, triangles
• Change them
• Add Value and Color
• Translate into enamel elements using wires, colors, foils
  

Module 4: Patterns

• Combine lines to create patterns
• Combine Shapes to create patterns
• Add Value and Color
• Make enamel patterns using wires, colors, foils
• Use  creativity skills to change your patterns

Module 5: Combinations

• Combine lines to create patterns
• Combine shapes to create new shapes
• Combine lines to create new lines
• Translate into enamel elements using wires, colors, foils

Module 6: Make it Personal

• Explore how other artists "make it personal"
• Personal Visual Images: Icons, Silhouettes, and Symbols
• Add Value and Color
• Combine Personal Images with lines, shapes, and patterns
• Translate into enamel elements using wires, colors, foils

Module 7: Put it all together!

• Play with your new vocabulary see what is possible
  
• Begin to focus on "Liking what you make"
• Learn to dialogue with your artwork
• Evaluate with questions beyond "Do I like it?"

Our Goals

• Become fluent with lines, shapes, and patterns
• Become comfortable drawing "thumbnail sketches"; let go of the fear that you cannot draw "well enough"
• Ask "What if" questions as you change and combine your lines, shapes, and patterns
• Add Value (how dark or light) and Color to your lines, shapes, patterns
• Translate your lines, shapes, and patterns into Cloisonne´ materials: wires, enamel, foils
• Find a personal connection to your images: create personal icons, silhouettes, and symbols
• Translate your personal visual images into enamel imagery that combines wires, enamel, and foils
• Discover how other artists "do it" and try different approaches to find your own way.
