The Enamel
Color Confidence
Workshop

Practice with enamel color in a way that builds confidence, fluency, and a more personal color language.

April 20-24, Monday-Friday. 10 to 5
Ricky's Home Studio in Marietta, Georgia
$789, only 4 students

When Enamel Color Feels Stressful

You may know how to apply enamel, but still feel unsure about your color decisions.

Color can feel confusing, unpredictable, and hard to control.

Instead of feeling free, your color choices may start to feel stressful.

This workshop was created for students who want enamel color to feel less intimidating and want to trust themselves to make color decisions when they are back in their own studio.

How I became comfortable with color

Picture

I made more pieces and began to discover what I liked and did not like.

I did not become comfortable with enamel color by memorizing the right answers.

I became comfortable by making more color, noticing more, changing more, and learning from what happened.

That process helped me discover what I liked, what I didn’t like, and how to build a more personal relationship with enamel color.

Confidence grows through practice

Train like an expert

The way to become more comfortable with enamel color is to practice using enamel color.

Athletes, musicians, and dancers practice small skills again and again until those skills become easier to trust and use.

Enamel color works the same way.
When you practice making color decisions in small, intentional ways, you begin to build fluency.

And fluency is what helps color feel more natural, flexible, and personal.

What we do in this workshop

Picture

You will practice making enamel color decisions in a way that helps you build your own color language.

In this workshop, we practice making enamel color decisions.

You will explore how enamel, metal, and heat work together to create color.

You will make small studies to notice, compare, change, and combine color.
You will use questions to guide your experiments and reflections.
This is not about trying to make perfect finished pieces.
It is about building the kind of practice that helps you:
  • make color decisions with more confidence
  • develop greater fluency with enamel color
  • discover your own color preferences
  • begin building your own enamel color language

What you leave with

You will leave with more than color studies—you will leave with a way to keep going on your own.

The most important thing you will leave with is a way to keep practicing in your own studio.
  • You won’t need a teacher or video tutorial to tell you what to do next.
  • You will leave with more than a group of color studies.
  • You will leave with more color questions than when you arrived, and more confidence in your ability to explore them.
  • You will know how to keep going, keep discovering, and keep building your own enamel color confidence long after the workshop ends.
